Private and Organization workspaces
Neurons AI has two workspaces. Your Private workspace holds folders and files that only you can see. The Organization workspace holds folders and files shared with everyone in your organization.
This article explains what each workspace is for, how to tell which one you're in, and how to move work between them.
What each workspace is for
Private workspace
Use your Private workspace for drafts, rough variants and ideas you're not ready to share. Every user has one, set up automatically. Only you can see, open, move or delete what's in it.
You can't invite other users into your Private workspace.
Organization workspace
Everything in the Organization workspace is visible to every user in your organization. This is where you keep work the whole team should see.
Check which workspace you're in
Both workspaces sit in the Folder Sidepanel: Private, marked with a lock icon, and Organization below it. The pill at the top of the page shows which workspace you're in, followed by the folder you have open.
A banner also tells you where you are. In the Organization workspace it reads: "You are in the Organization Workspace. Everything you upload here will be shared with your entire organization." In your Private workspace it reads: "You are in your Private Workspace. Everything you upload here stays private and isn't shared with your organization."
Work in your Private workspace
Your Private workspace works the same way as the Organization workspace. You can upload files, run predictions, add Areas of Interest (AOIs), download results and bookmark folders.
Create a private folder
- Open the Folder Sidepanel.
- Click the new folder icon next to Private, or Create Private Folder if you don't have any private folders yet. The folder is created at the top level of your Private workspace, and you're taken there.
- Name the folder and, if you want, add a Brand Kit.
To create a folder inside another private folder, open that folder and click Folder in the top menu. As with other folders, you can nest up to five levels of subfolders.
Upload to your Private workspace
To upload to the top level of your Private workspace, click the upload icon next to Private in the side panel. To upload into a private folder, open the folder and click Upload in the top menu. For more, see Upload files to Neurons AI.
Share work with your organization
Moving a folder or file between workspaces is the only way to change who can see it.
- To share something from your Private workspace, move it to the Organization workspace. Everyone in your organization can then see it.
- To make something private, move it from the Organization workspace into your Private workspace. Other users lose access to it straight away, and any bookmarks they had on it are removed.
Everything inside a folder moves with it. For steps, see Move and share folders and files.
Search across both workspaces
Search covers both workspaces at once. You see results from the Organization workspace and your own Private workspace, never anyone else's. Results don't show which workspace they're in.
Things to know
- If you belong to more than one company account, you have a separate Private workspace in each.
- If you're removed from your organization, your Private workspace is no longer visible to anyone. See Change and remove access.
